Figure skating is an unique combination of fitness and finesse. SKATINGPROS.com offers articles and discussions on how to best incorporate a variety of fitness exercises, strength and flexibility training and creative movement into your training. As is the focus of this site, the activities offered each month are selected to support the a skaters training plans in relation to the time of the year. 

IMPORTANT: Before engaging in any sort of off-ice fitness or strength training, consult with your doctor and have a general physical exam to discuss any recommended limitations on exercises or other health concerns that would impact your choices for dry land training.  Above all else remember, never stretch or exercise to the point of pain.
